The African Tulip Hotel

The pool was a lovely place to cool off or sit beside with a drink, and the buffet breakfast was delicious. When guest numbers were too low for a buffet, the set breakfast menu wasn’t great, though that was during low season. The other food was good but didn’t wow me. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and everyone on staff was helpful, caring, and professional. I stayed with family, three adults, on a birthday trip I’d planned for myself. We began in Arusha, and African Tulip was a great place to stay. I’d return.

We could walk from this centrally placed boutique hotel to the main town. The rooms were spacious and very nice. Staff were friendly, professional, and looked after us well. The restaurant servers stood out, remembering us and tailoring their service to what we liked. A real hidden gem.

The breakfast was fantastic, and the espresso machine meant we could have strong, good-quality coffee. The hotel is beautiful, and I’d recommend it before or after a safari if you want the comforts of home, including good food, a hot shower, and great wifi. We spent one night here before leaving Arusha. There was a booking mix-up when we arrived, but the owner sorted it quickly and came out to apologize several times. He was very kind.

The staff were attentive, friendly, and very professional, and their hospitality made the stay feel special. I also loved the delicious food and the peaceful, lush garden. The African Tulip Hotel has a gorgeous interior, with an elegant, warm feel and authentic African charm. My room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, one of my most comfortable stays in Tanzania. If you want comfort, culture, and class in Arusha, this is a great luxury hotel.
