The villas are a real highlight, with plenty of space, attractive furnishings, privacy, and comfort. Service was attentive, and the food selection had fresh, flavorful options for different tastes. Baraza Resort and Spa has a striking design that mixes Arabic, Indian, and African architectural details, giving the grounds an almost royal-palace feel. The surrounding beach is beautiful too, with white sand and clear water along the coast. It’s a sophisticated and memorable place to stay in Zanzibar.

We had an all-inclusive stay that exceeded expectations. The food was excellent every day, with plenty of variety and lovely presentation. When we wanted something else, sous chef Bharat went out of his way to prepare it. The staff made the biggest difference: every team member was warm and attentive. During our trip a family member had a birthday, and the thoughtful surprises and personal touches made it feel truly special. Gharib and Yassine checked in on us several times a day and helped make the stay exceptional. We stayed in three one-bedroom villas, all spacious, private, and carefully designed with luxurious details. The grounds and architecture were gorgeous, and the pool area had private cabanas and lots of loungers. The beach was just as beautiful, with plenty of shade and places to lounge. It takes about an hour and a half to get to Baraza Resort and Spa Zanzibar from either the airport or Stone Town, but we felt the drive was worth it. The distance added to the quiet, secluded feeling. We left relaxed and pampered, already thinking about coming back. Highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I stayed in a villa right on the beach with a private pool, and we made good use of it. The views were incredible, the food was great, and the whole stay felt relaxed. Yassine was the star for us, taking care of anything we needed and making sure our special food orders were delivered each time. My girlfriend did find the air conditioning not cold enough, but otherwise we had a great experience. I spent my birthday here.

My wife and I just got back from Baraza after one of the best trips we’ve taken. The resort was exactly what we’d hoped for, but the service really set it apart. Cosmos welcomed us on our first day, and the general manager, whose name I can’t remember, helped arrange a special dinner for our last night. Highly recommend!

Great staff, excellent service, and really good food. The setting on that beautiful beach is stunning. Staying here feels like being at a Sultan’s private residence.
