Fontaine Garden Village

We visited in March and found it quite decent for a two-star hotel. The surrounding nature is magnificent, our room was well kept, and I really enjoyed my time there. The beach is just a two-minute walk away, and the kind, friendly staff made the stay feel like being part of one big family. I’d recommend it to people who don’t put comfort above everything else, and who are coming to explore this exotic place and make their own trip unforgettable.

The entrance road is highly convoluted, so the place was very hard to find, even though it’s close to the beach. I’d asked for a private room with AC, but got a room at ground level with see-through curtains and an AC unit that didn’t work. The bathroom shower faucet leaked, and the handles seemed not to have been properly cleaned in a long time.

The people are what make this place so special. Priscia, Patric, and the others go out of their way to make you feel at home, always ready to help with a smile. Hakuna Matata. There’s a magical, shady garden with chairs and hammocks where you can relax, and the simple bungalows are comfortable and cleaned every day. Each evening, they spray the rooms for mosquitoes and put up the bed nets. The quiet, beautiful beach is only two minutes away. The restaurant serves tasty meals at fair prices, and the staff are wonderful. A great place to get away from crowds and experience a real African feel.

The garden, with all its different kinds of trees, gives you much-needed shade and a lovely place to relax. We really enjoyed our stay in this African-style bungalow park, especially thanks to the very kind staff. If you’d rather stay away from the big resorts, this is a great choice.
