Sahari Zanzibar

The private beach dinner the team arranged at the end was beautiful, almost like a proposal moment. It summed up Sahari's thoughtful, joyful hospitality. We felt at home as soon as we arrived, and the staff were so friendly that it felt more like time with friends than hotel staff, especially when we played cornhole. We even joined some of them on excursions. Everything was spotless and well cared for. Breakfast was a highlight, with tasty local treats and an à la carte menu for more options. The food at lunch and dinner was so good we could happily have stayed at the resort the whole time. There are lots of excursions to book through the hotel, which makes planning easy. We had fun at a cocktail workshop. We skipped the Swahili cooking class, and I have to admit I regret that now. Sahari really captures the soul of Zanzibar and feels like home. Thanks to the whole team for the warmth, laughs, and memories. Asante sana, we can't wait to return.

We stayed in a lovely bungalow right by the pool, and the beachfront location was ideal, just steps from the ocean. You can walk along the beach to nearby villages and restaurants. The room didn't have a refrigerator, which was the one small downside. The design, décor, and outdoor spaces are all at a very high standard, and the village setting feels like a little piece of heaven. The food was fresh and delicious, every meal a treat. Most of all, the staff made the stay: they were kind, ready to help, and greeted us with genuine, big smiles. From our arrival at Sahari Hotel, they made us feel at home. We had the best time and can't wait to come back.

The room they gave us was stunning, with a view of the beach, and the pool was beautiful. It's a really gorgeous beachfront hotel. But the service was poor. On the first night, a waiter kept pressuring us to eat at the restaurant. Breakfast the next morning was very slow, and the food was pretty bad. There was no mosquito net over the bed, so bugs ate us alive the whole stay. We also had no hot water. I told the front desk on the first night, and they said maintenance would come, but it was never fixed. The power went out several times an hour, took a few minutes to come back, and reset everything, including the Wi-Fi.

The restaurant and Food and Beverage staff were so nice to us, and we had very tasty lunches and dinners. The security staff were sweet too, and one of them even cleaned our car mirror. We arrived early in the morning, so they gave us a room that was ready within an hour. The next day, they upgraded us for free to a better, bigger room. Merci was an amazing host, very polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. She always checked how our stay was going and gave us a free late checkout since our flight was at night. Special thanks to Merci.
