Our group of 10 had a confirmed booking through booking.com, but when we arrived, Tropicana Boutique Hotel said it had no record of it and refused to host us. They wouldn’t even let us use the Wi-Fi to find another place, or offer a glass of water while we tried to sort things out. The woman in charge was rude and dismissive, with no help, alternatives, or apology. We were left stranded and frustrated by the lack of basic hospitality. It was a deeply disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend booking here.

Noemi/Naomi’s Villa is a wonderful little paradise in Bwejuu. The Swahili home has a big, breezy veranda looking out over the ocean, and a lovely swimming pool set in a lush garden full of plants and trees. The food was delicious, and the staff were so nice and ready to help with whatever we needed. They use local produce, including fruits and vegetables from their own garden. I highly recommend it!

We stayed seven nights with my mom and dad and were really happy with the rooms. They had everything we needed: a comfortable big bed, fan instead of AC, and a private bathroom with a shower. Fresh towels and toiletries were provided, including toothbrushes, shampoo, and slippers. There was also a mosquito net. The food was first class, with fresh ingredients and delicious local flavors, so you should try eating here at least once. The staff were very friendly. Mariam was my favorite and cleaned our room, Ewa was the chef, and Hussein knows everything about Zanzibar history and could answer all our questions. The owner, Noemi, was lovely too and even arranged tours for us, including diving and swimming with dolphins. We’re so glad we chose this villa for our stay. Thanks for a memorable holiday!

The terrace has a great ocean view, and I liked the garden and the path down to the beach. The house itself looks nice too, and its location is lovely and away from the touristy areas. The downside is that you're not allowed to bring in your own food, even fruit, or alcohol. The restaurant prices are awful. During my month in Tanzania, I had my most expensive meal there.

Villa Noemi has a lovely, uplifting view from the balcony, and the private beach is just a minute away, with a little spot for drinks and sunbeds. I really enjoyed the fresh food, too. The chef makes everything in generous portions, including bread, doughnuts and crêpes, and the seafood comes from local fishermen. The owners and staff are kind and helpful, always smiling, and they can arrange outings that are punctual and well organized. The authentic building and plant-filled garden felt much more relaxed and familiar than a crowded big hotel. It was a wonderful stay in beautiful Zanzibár.
