BL Airport Hotel

The laundry came back in the morning still quite wet, with little blue marks on our white clothes. Breakfast was below average too, with very few choices and only the fruit seemed edible. The staff were friendly, but that couldn’t make up for everything else. Our first room had such a dirty floor that our feet and socks turned black within minutes. We moved, but the next room had no hot water. They spent about 40 minutes trying to fix it, then moved us again, and the AC in that room didn’t work. After our visit, the hotel cancelled the stay to avoid bad feedback on Agoda/Booking. Worst experience ever. Stay away!

It’s fine as a place to sleep, and the hygiene was acceptable, but the air conditioning was poor. I stayed two nights between flights, and the hotel failed to pick me up for both of them, even though they said they would.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times. The compound has a great ambiance, and it’s very close to the airport, about a five-minute drive without traffic. Prices are within range for comparable hotels, and customer service used to be average. The road to the hotel has plenty of potholes, though. I’m updating my review because service has changed dramatically for the worse. Maybe it’s a familiarity-brings-contempt thing, or perhaps the staff have become complacent. Either way, I’m dropping this to two stars for the poor, deteriorating customer service. I’ll leave my earlier comments here so patrons can make an informed choice.

The reception madame promised an airport shuttle at 3 am, but the driver arrived 40 minutes late and we nearly missed our flight. When we tried calling her from the airport to arrange the hotel pickup, she didn’t answer, so we had to walk with our baggage in the heat and dirt. The room was okay for sleeping, though the AC didn’t work. If you want to miss your flight, book this airport hotel. Thanks, BL Hotel!
