The Wednesday “Afrikan night” seems like the best time to visit for authentic Tanzanian food. Great place, room, and service.

The hotel feels neglected and badly maintained, and it really needs a full renovation. The rooms are dated and uncomfortable, though they were acceptably clean. Breakfast was very basic, served in a dreadful dining room that reminded me of a 1950s guesthouse. The staff also seemed unmotivated.

I really enjoyed the hospitality here. The staff were professional and treated guests well, always greeting us and checking whether we needed anything. From the rooms and the elevator by the main highway, I also liked the city views. The Peacock is centrally located, close to the airport and Indian ocean, with places like Coco beach and the Kigamboni ferry area nearby.

When I arrived in Tanzania and ran into trouble, the Peacock Hotel staff gave me extraordinary help. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and hospitable throughout. The food and drinks were excellent too. If that's the kind of stay you're after, this is the place.

I found it peaceful and comfortable in Dar Es Salaam. The rooms and facilities felt clean and safe, and the staff were kind and helpful. The terrace restaurant-bar beside the swimming pool was a lovely spot to relax.
