Southern Sun Dar es Salaam Hotel

The people here made an incredibly difficult time feel less lonely. While I was in Dar es Salaam for medical treatment, hotel staff checked on me, and after my first surgery they even visited me at the hospital with a beautiful fruit basket. I’ve never experienced hospitality like that. They made me feel as if I had family here, and I’m deeply grateful. I arrived in Dar es Salaam after an accident and needed an accessible room because I couldn’t fully use both legs. I was nervous after several hotels I called had no accessible rooms, but this one had exactly what I needed before surgery at a nearby hospital. I could move around comfortably, manage the bathroom, and get up and down safely. That made a huge difference at a stressful time. The front desk staff were welcoming and sincerely caring. At breakfast, the dining staff noticed I needed a chair with arms. From the next morning on, one was ready for me every day without my asking. Such a thoughtful gesture meant a lot. The hotel is extremely clean, the facilities smell wonderful, and everything is well cared for. The food was delicious, with lots of good breakfast options. But the staff are what make the place special. I plan to come back before leaving Dar es Salaam, just to stay again and see everyone before I head home to the US. Thank you so much.
