Sunrise Beach Resort

There's good food, quick service and fresh coconuts available all the time, plus Indian food, horse riding and kayaking. It's a clean, child-friendly place for families. This is one of the most visited and accessible beaches in Kigamboni, very close across the kivukoni ferry. You can get there by car or ferry day and night, using either the boats or toll bridge.

The beach could use more regular cleaning. There was quite a bit of rubbish and seaweed along the shore. Aside from that, I had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional, and I honestly have no complaints about the excellent service. The location is fantastic too. You do get what you pay for here, with better rooms and a better experience when you spend more.

The rooms were clean, fresh and well maintained, and room service was excellent. The resort is in a good area and serves delicious Indian food for Indian and international guests. Its swimming pool is well managed and cleaned regularly. They played Indian and other international music, which made for a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. I found the place comfortable, hygienic and enjoyable to stay in.

This was my second experience here, and it was even worse. They don't deserve a single star. During our four-day stay, we asked to change rooms because of the problems, but the manager never responded and kept ignoring us. We'd also been asking for extra towels for two days. When my mom and aunt spoke to him in person, he was rude instead of helping. The service felt poor and unprofessional from the moment we arrived. The room was in bad condition, the bathroom clearly wasn't maintained, and water kept leaking in the washroom. We told staff several times, but nothing was properly done. The whole stay was frustrating and disappointing. With the poor service, lack of maintenance and unhelpful staff, I wouldn't recommend this resort.
