We really liked the location, right on the beach, and thought it was good value. The rooms have the basics, and both the staff and hotel manager were super friendly. They even let us check out late, which was a big plus. Only downside was the restaurant and bar had snacks but no proper food.

We loved this small, quiet, comfortable and beautiful hotel. It’s right on the beach, which is why we came to Paje for the beach and kite surfing. Our room was large and clean, breakfast was great, and the staff were very polite and helpful.

I love this place. There’s plenty happening on the beach, from surfing and kitesurfing to scuba diving, and the hotel has a pool and massage service. The price is moderate, and the staff are friendly with good customer service. I wasn’t keen on the mixed seafood from the restaurant, though. It was too dry and had no seasoning.

The staff were helpful and tried to sort things out, but that didn’t fix the problems at Arabian nights villa. There are three bedrooms and a pool, but the AC didn’t work, so the house was far too hot to sleep in. We had no water during the day, which meant I couldn’t wash the baby when I needed to. There were wasps living in one bathroom, the electric kettle didn’t work, and there was no teapot or coffee pot. Today the Wi-Fi router is broken too. The staff said island electricity problems are common, but we’d stayed in another villa in Nungwi where the AC worked and the room was cool.

The place was very dirty. There was no cleaning, including cigarette mess, and the breakfast area was dirty too. I have a photo. Services were basically nonexistent. I deposited money at reception and it was stolen. I had to call the police, but nobody did anything. I have receipts documenting it. Not recommended, be careful.
