The beach is just steps away, with clear tropical water, and everything is clean and well cared for. The rooms are comfortable, and the staff are really friendly and attentive. It's simple and cozy but still feels almost luxurious. Amazing place, I couldn't recommend it more.

The pizza was tasty, and the restaurant is right on the beach with an amazing view. There's also a pool out back that guests can use if it's not too crowded. We didn't try it, but it looked nice.

We spent most of our time by the beach, on the day bed, or in the pool, with the beach right outside and all to ourselves. The hotel is small, so the rooms are on the smaller side, but that worked well for us. Breakfast was enjoyable, and we had some lunches and dinners there too. We tried several nearby restaurants, yet Sea View Lodge had the best mix of quality, service, and price for us. The staff were fantastic and accommodating. We had such an amazing time in this little paradise that leaving was hard.

The food was the biggest problem. Breakfast choices were very limited, and even the scrambled eggs were dry and tasteless. Dinner was disgusting, so although we'd paid for half board, we went out to eat. The restaurant staff were unpleasant, too. The room was clean but very basic, and the staff took our dirty towel without replacing it during our stay. If you only need a budget place to sleep, it might be okay, but Zanzibar has much more beautiful beaches.
