Tulia Zanzibar Unique Beach Resort

The fresh produce was one of my favorite things at Tulia. They grow many of their own vegetables, herbs, and fruit on the property, and you can taste that freshness in every meal. It felt especially thoughtful to know it had been grown just steps away. The resort also supports charitable efforts in the local community, and that work seemed sincere and meaningful. I liked staying somewhere that treats its guests so well while trying to help beyond the resort too. We spent our honeymoon at Tulia Resort in Zanzibar, and the welcome from the team felt genuinely warm and personal. Everyone knew how to make us feel at home, with care that was attentive without being intrusive or overdone. The gardens, villas, and quiet corners are beautiful, and the whole place has a calming feel. The beach changes dramatically with the tides. At low tide, you can walk far out over soft sand and explore. When the tide comes in, the water is crystal clear and lovely for swimming. I left feeling refreshed and inspired, and I'm already thinking about returning. Tulia Resort brings together beauty, comfort, kindness, and a sense of purpose. I'd recommend it to anyone hoping for a special stay in Zanzibar.

The staff at Tulia were the friendliest and most welcoming I've ever met at a hotel. The grounds and landscaping are gorgeous, and the setting is stunning. It felt magical. If you want a stay you'll remember, Tulia is the place to stay on Zanzibar!

The food was a letdown for us. My girlfriend and I pay a lot of attention to what we eat at resorts, and we'd rate Tulia's food around 4 out of 10. The staff were wonderful, though, and the views from our elevated beach-front villa were beautiful. Unbelievable place!

The dhow trip was a highlight for me. We were out on the sea for about 20 minutes, with warm water lapping around us. The captain was brilliant. I think he's a Liverpool fan, which is a shame!! From the drumbeat as you arrive to the peaceful world behind Tulia's gates, the welcome felt special. Everyone was smiling, and the pool slide and toys made for a fun, quirky addition. Dinner each evening was served to a very high standard, with the staff and band helping make sure everyone had a great time.
