Anmut Hostel

That hike with Emmanuel was breathtaking, and I won’t forget the day. The hostel was a lovely place to stay, with comfortable, well-equipped bedrooms. We shared some really nice meals in the common room, where everyone was friendly and chatty. Emmanuel was incredibly welcoming, helped sort out all our questions and problems, and made this my favourite place in Tanzania. Thanks so much. I’d love to come back.

We felt at home as soon as we dropped our bags. Grace and her family served breakfast and dinner with such warm smiles, and we had a great week at Anmut. The hotel is simple, peaceful and comfortable. Our room was spacious and clean, with hot water and electricity, and the view in front of the hotel is the best we found around Lushoto. Thanks to the whole family.

We came for one night and stayed a few more. Anmut is such a peaceful place, surrounded by nature, with beautiful views. It’s a short drive from Lushoto town, and a great starting point for a hike in the Usambara Mountains. The rooms have plenty of space, a big comfortable bed and a hot shower. Most of all, we felt at home with Emmanuel, Grace and their children Straus and Emmanuel Jn. We grew close during our stay, and on our last night we all went out for dinner and had wonderful conversations. This place will always have a place in our hearts. We loved our time here and highly recommend it.

Emmanuel helped me arrange a bus to Dar, which was a big help. The place is close to hiking areas and has a lovely view of the Usambara mountains. There’s a complimentary breakfast, comfy beds and a hot shower, plus a tiny kitten. A great place to stay.
