The meals alone made Chole Foxes Lodges stand out for us. The chef could prepare fish in so many ways, and the desserts were great too. We enjoyed eating there much more than at other places where fish was simply grilled. We also had our best snorkeling in the marine park and even spotted a sea turtle. The small island is lovely and natural, with no cars or cable electricity, and we saw amazing wildlife like flying foxes, sunbirds, and varans. The islanders were lovely as well. Mohamed and his young team were so welcoming and did everything they could to help us enjoy Chole. The place itself is cozy and has a wonderful view. We watched the sunset and saw flying foxes leaving the island after waking up. My girlfriend and I both agreed it was the best place we stayed during our trip in Tanzania. I really recommend it.

The bungalows were clean and comfortable, and every meal was delicious, with lots of seafood, fresh fruit, and generous portions. Dr. Mudy and the team were incredibly kind hosts. They welcomed us with fresh juice when we arrived and surprised us with an amazing seafood lunch on our last day, making the stay feel extra special. Chole Foxes Lodge sits in a beautiful spot overlooking mangroves and clear water. We could sunbathe and swim during the day, then watch the stars, fireflies, and flying foxes at night. The little island is beautiful and easy to explore on foot, and it’s a great base for tours like the Blue Lagoon, snorkeling, or a sandbank lunch, which Dr. Mudy can arrange. It felt so peaceful and far away from everything. Such a unique place, and a perfect ending to our honeymoon in Tanzania. Thanks so much!

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the place was quiet with a nice sea view. I was a bit disappointed that the meals were overpriced.
