We had a decent one-night stay at Mambo Boutique. The room was good, with air conditioning, a nice washroom, and a hair dryer, though there was no hot water. The location is great for Nungwi Beach. Service was a letdown, which is why I'd give it two stars. Our Booking.com listing showed breakfast included, but after booking and arriving we were told they don't provide breakfast or drinking water. There was a kettle in the room, but no tea or coffee, so we had to get food and water elsewhere.

Dorice was especially good at looking after guests, and the staff were always helpful. It's a small, lovely hotel close to the beach, with spacious, clean rooms and an excellent breakfast.

Getting to the beach is easy, and it's close by, but finding the place in the maze of small streets behind the beach is difficult. The staff showed me how to reach the main street. Breakfast was very good.
