To Thanda Island Resort, Back in 1995, I dropped several baobab seeds into crab holes. I wonder if any grew into trees. I can't identify any in your photographs, so perhaps they didn't, but I'd appreciate confirmation. At the time, we worked aboard the cruise ship The Royal Star, which regularly stopped at the island, though only for a few hours. We'd love to visit again. Peter and Minalyn Nicklin

Paradise on an island! The accommodation, views, and staff at Thanda Island were all beyond what I expected. The food was delicious, and the staff kept going out of their way to make sure our group had everything we needed. My stay was perfect in every way.

I've stayed at many island retreats since, but none have matched Thanda Island's beauty and brilliance. The service was phenomenal, the food incredible, and the island itself spectacular. Thanda is a complete dream.

The food, staff, activities, and sights were amazing. It really felt like a dream, pure paradise. Having friends there with me made the experience even better than I could have expected. Probably the nicest place I'll ever get to visit. 6/5.
