I live in Tanzania, and I’ve never had a safari this good. We saw elephant families, lions, and plenty more across a park with such varied landscapes. From the lodge, we even watched elephants by the Rufiji River. It was breathtaking. The place was spotless, the team professional, and the food delicious. After long game drives, the pool was a treat. Mr. Mosses deserves a special thank you for his kindness, humor, and hospitality. Everything about our stay was wonderful. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it.

We spent the quiet part of the day at camp with a book, keeping an eye on the river and the monkeys overhead. The late afternoon and evening drive, from 5 to 11, brought lions, hyenas, elephants, buffalo, zebra calls, and shooting stars. On the morning bush walk, we learned about the Small 5 and the medicinal uses of herbs and leaves. I even learned to make fire without a lighter, tried it at home, and it worked. And yes, I learned you can drink elephant poop. There were four of us, staying four nights at this lovely camp above the Rufiji River. The whole trip, from pickup to drop-off in Dar es Salaam, beat our expectations. The drivers, guides, and camp team were competent and pleasant, and service was top quality. A great experience for a very reasonable price.

The safari was great, and Kenny did a very good job. He was punctual and professional, as was everyone we met. The boat trip was smooth, well organized, and a lot of fun. Moses and the team were kind, discreet, and attentive, always there when needed without making a fuss. Meals were generous and delicious, from breakfast through dinner. The lodge itself was peaceful and a lovely place to relax. We were very happy with our stay. Thanks to everyone for the experience!

The Selous safari with Mudy was a delight, with plenty of wildlife and striking scenery. He’s a skilled driver, kind, and very professional, and answered all our questions. When our car from Dar es Salaam to Selous had technical trouble, he stayed calm and fixed it in half an hour, so we reached the park on time. At the lodge, we found a record player spinning Creedence Clearwater Revival, and our room felt like a little tropical castle, complete with a wonderful balcony surrounded by bush babies. After our tour, candles were glowing and the campfire was lit. It was the sort of day and night in Africa you dream about. Moses welcomed us like royalty, with juice and a lovely lunch before our Rufiji River tour. He and his friendly, professional team went out of their way throughout our stay. We had excellent breakfasts, good coffee and dinner, cold beers, and even a live tribal dance. The kids loved the riverside pool, which felt like a watery temple amid savanna, palms, bushes, and wildlife. We didn’t get to meet the Canadian host, but they’ve clearly thought of almost everything. A little Garden of Eden just miles from Selous National Park. Every part of the stay deserves five stars. Thanks so much to the whole team.

Mudy was a great companion over the three days. There isn’t a thing I’d criticize. You really feel that the guest comes first here. It felt like a fairy tale for us: clean rooms, no insects or mosquitoes, and staff who were always smiling.
