Kiwavi Home

I even tried another place arranged by my tour group, but missed this one so much that I came back. It’s spotless and really well kept, with a beautiful garden and everything you need to feel at home. When I first arrived, someone said it was the best place to stay in Moshi. I was skeptical, but they were right. Staying here also supports the NGO associated with the home!

We only had one night here, but Simba was very welcoming and helped us arrange things to do in Moshi and nearby. Mrs Pole Pole the turtle is so cute. Great breakfast, and the rooms are clean and roomy. I’d definitely stay again.

The owners were so kind and helped us sort out day trips and anything else we needed. We’d heard good things about Kiwavi and came with high expectations, and it lived up to them. The garden is beautiful, the rooms are lovely, and breakfast was amazing, with something different each day of the week. Best hostel we stayed at during our time in Tanzania. Hope we can come back. I was ill during our stay, and the staff even brought me medicine. When we needed a tailor, Jacky went into the village and arranged our dresses without charging us. That kindness, along with everyone’s humor, warmth, and attention to detail, made the stay so memorable. We cooked chapati with Jacky, and Simba was such a welcoming host. The house is beautiful, with pretty rooms and a spacious, cozy outdoor area. We still talk about our time at Kiwavi almost every day and will definitely return. Thank you for those precious memories.
