Lindrin Lodge

The food was good, the drink prices quite reasonable, and the pool was a welcome place to jump in after coming down the mountain. I stayed overnight before and after climbing Kilimanjaro. It’s a cute hotel and works well as a food stopover for climbers. Nothing exceptional, but the staff were friendly, the rooms had wifi, AC, and mozzie nets, and the food didn’t make me sick. If I climbed again, I’d come back. From what others on my route said about their hotels, ours sounded like the best.

There’s lots of greenery around the beautiful property, with a night guard at the gate and even a small pool. The cottages are a good standard and have hot water. The garden restaurant sometimes has live music on weekends, and the buffet is really tasty. Staff were helpful and breakfast was quite good, though the coffee could be better. It’s a little out of town, but a taxi or bajaji gets you to the center in about 10 minutes. My one disappointment was that a few staff members occasionally tried to overcharge small amounts.

The hotel serves all meals, with breakfast included and lunch and dinner charged separately. Food was decent and service quite good, though it wasn’t busy while we were there. Rooms were clean and spacious, especially the single rooms. It’s conveniently close to Kilimanjaro gates, but far from everything else.

The breakfast buffet was nice, and the staff were really friendly. We spent three nights at Lindrin Lodge. The grounds were lovely, and our room had a mini-split AC unit. Dinner was good, though not outstanding, whether we had the menu one night or the buffet on the other two. There wasn't a shower stall in the bathroom.
