We Travel Hostel

The manager was genuinely kind and professional, and the rooms and facilities were clean. Still, my stay was very unpleasant because of one young female staff member. When I arrived, she was looking at her phone and seemed annoyed. She asked whether I had a reservation; after I said no, she sighed and rushed through the explanation in English without much care. She insisted I pay right away, then said she had no change and would bring it back later. It still hadn’t been returned the next day, so I raised it with the manager, who gave me the money. It left me feeling the staff member may never have planned to return it. They only take cash, and there wasn’t proper change, which was frustrating. I was also charged 2000 for a black coffee when the menu listed 1000, which didn’t seem honest. It’s a shame, since the manager and facilities were good, but that one person’s attitude really affected my impression.

Breakfast was very good, and our double room had a great bathroom. Strong recommendation!

The rooftop was a lovely place to unwind, and the rooms were beautiful. I didn’t expect to find such a nice hotel tucked away in Moshi. The staff were warm and friendly, and the chef made us an awesome local pilau. A perfect spot to rest and chill.

The food was the standout for me. We tried the local lentil dish, salad, and a smoothie, and everything was extremely good. I wished we’d eaten at the restaurant more. The hostel itself was okay, though there were lots of power cuts, which weren’t the hotel’s fault. After our Kilimanjaro hike, that made it hard to use the air conditioning or do laundry.
