Luwa Evergreen Hotel

Beautiful rooms and a pleasant atmosphere, with fine service from the staff. For me, it's the best hotel stay in Mtwara.

The area is very quiet, and you get a sea view. The staff are cooperative, the service is good, and the hospitality is amazing.

I was here for an office trip and had a great stay. The quiet surroundings made it easy to rest after a long day, and the welcoming staff were helpful. Breakfast arrived on time each day and the food was good. There's a pool to unwind in, too. It's near the beach and not too far from the airport. I'd recommend it and would happily return.

The room had a lovely sea view, and the hotel WiFi worked well. It's a short walk to the beach, but swimming isn't possible because of all the sharp coral. I was advised that walking there in the evening wasn't recommended for a white woman, which left me feeling unsafe. I did feel safe at the hotel itself. The pool was very nice, the room was clean, and the AC worked effectively. There was a mosquito net around the bed. The water in my room was cold, but in the hot weather I didn't mind. Breakfast was nothing special, mostly local dishes, though they made an omelet just the way I wanted. A very nice hotel compared with what's around here.
