In the middle of Nungwi, this small hotel feels like a peaceful little natural island. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was amazing. Faraja made the real difference for us. She was genuinely kind, welcomed us, walked us to the beach, and showed us around. We trusted her with other things after that, and she found us great deals. Highly recommended if you want somewhere comfy and quiet in Nungwi.

The owners made sure we felt welcome, and Faraja was so friendly and ready to help with anything. These are adorable little bungalows at a good price. Bars, clubs, the beach, and restaurants are all within a five-minute walk, and there’s parking nearby if you need a taxi. My friend and I had an amazing stay here last summer. I miss it a lot 🥰✨

The receptionist was the bright spot: such a kind girl, and I really liked her. She gets five stars from me. My basic room, number 6, wasn’t worth the price. The bed dipped in the middle, so I barely slept, and it was extremely hot. The fan was so loud I couldn’t use it at night. Also, this has nothing to do with Doubletree by Hilton. If, like me, you get confused, it’s only the location by Doubletree.

The beach nearby is beautiful, but getting there means using narrow passages. After rain, you have to cross muddy puddles or take a long detour through the local market. The hotel is very basic, with six rooms around small but pleasant grounds full of greenery, and each room has a nice terrace. Inside, though, the renovation is dated and there’s little practical storage. There’s no fridge, kettle, or air conditioning. Only two electrical outlets, one in the bathroom. Breakfast was very poor and stayed the same for all 11 days: coffee, tea, juice, omelette, bread, and fruit. Power cuts were frequent on the island, but most places had backup power. This hotel had none, so we had to run to cafes to charge our phones, let alone get internet.

The owners were welcoming and really helpful. The place is a quiet little oasis in Nungwi, just steps from the beach. Our rooms were clean and comfortable.
