Palm Residence by Amazing Zanzibar

Ali made our trip. We were there for a 40th birthday, and he arranged a cake and thoughtful little touches to make it special. When I got really sick and spent a whole day in bed, he brought fresh ginger tea and kept checking that I was okay. His kindness, attention, and service won us over completely. I hope he sees this and knows how grateful we are. Thank you, Ali. We’ll miss you and remember you always.

We spent two nights here with family and friends, eight of us altogether, during our Zanzibar trip. The staff made us feel welcome right away with fresh juice, remembered our names, and stayed attentive to whatever we needed. Everyone spoke English, and the house manager was great. The house has a distinctive feel, with lovely views over the pool and ocean. The rooms are nicely decorated and had all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was easy and relaxed, we could sit down and enjoy what we wanted while the staff looked after us. We were celebrating my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary, and the team arranged everything around the pool. It made for an unforgettable party. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend the place.

The team made our stay so comfortable. Yussuf went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed, Lucy kept the property clean and changed the bedding and towels daily, and the owner stayed in touch to check we were doing well. The chef made whatever we asked for, and it was so good we didn’t feel like eating out. My husband and I loved the spacious, clean rooms and the balcony looking over the pool and ocean. The infinity pool and ocean views around the villa were stunning, and the place had everything we needed. I was sad to leave this beautiful villa. When I’m back in Zanzibar, I know where I’ll stay. Jeremiah, the butler, was wonderful. He tailored his help to what we needed and made sure we were comfortable throughout. Ibrahim, the owner, showed us around when we arrived and was helpful during our stay. The Palm Residence is beautiful, with wide sea views, tropical landscaping, fruit trees, and local wildlife like dik-diks and horses. Inside, it’s stylish, clean, and comfortable. I was disappointed by the kitchen setup. I expected a fully working kitchen like at most Airbnb’s, but the stove and oven didn’t work and there wasn’t cooking equipment. I’d hoped to prepare meals with fresh ingredients from the market, but couldn’t. They can make food to order for an extra cost, though. Even with that letdown, it’s a lovely house with great service.
