We loved the breakfast at Zanzicrown Hotel, with fresh fruit, different egg options, coffee and tea to get the day going. There’s also a small pool that was great for cooling off in the morning or having a relaxing dip in the evening. The beach is a beautiful 100-meter stroll away, and there’s a local shop and busy fish market nearby. The team really makes this intimate hotel special. Elena, the owner, and her staff are warm, dedicated, and go out of their way to make sure guests are comfortable and have what they need. It’s a peaceful, well-run retreat on Zanzibar, and we can’t wait to return.

The team’s warmth and kindness made us feel welcome right away, and every detail was handled with real care. The accommodation was beautifully maintained, comfortable and stylish. Zanzicrown felt like a home away from home, and it’s the kind of place that stays with you after you’ve left.

My cousin and I were so glad we found this place. The room was clean and nicely decorated, and the garden was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, communication was great, and everyone working there had such positive energy. Thank you for having us! If we return to zanzibar, we’d definitely stay here again. I’d gladly stay here again. The rooms and service were far better than what I’ve had at big resorts, and the breakfast was great. Nungwi beach itself wasn’t as nice as Kendwa, though, and getting to Nungwi from other areas can depend on the tide. At high tide, I really wouldn’t advise navigating the maze of local houses. The hotel is excellent and close to Nungwi beach. In response to the host’s comment, the friendly local children weren’t the problem. Men followed us through the houses, insisting on guiding us and then pressing us to pay through donations to their business. We avoided that by taking taxis and tuk tuks.

I ended up spending a month at Zanzicrown after an unpleasant stay elsewhere, and Elena literally saved me. Her place became my refuge. It was clean, breakfast was great, the staff were always smiling, and the cozy garden gave everything a romantic feel. I recommend it 10/10.
