Mlango Paje House

The service was a real highlight. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed, from arranging activities and suggesting local places to serving delicious meals. The location is also great, just a short walk to Zanzibar's white-sand beach and clear water. We enjoyed quiet mornings by the ocean and lively evenings at nearby restaurants and shops. Mlango Paje House & Villa made for a magical stay. The villas are beautifully designed to fit the natural surroundings, with spacious, spotless and tastefully decorated rooms. We also loved the lush gardens and inviting pool. From our warm welcome on arrival, everything felt serene and carefully considered. We can't wait to come back and make more memories.

The terrace was fantastic, quiet and breezy, and making coffee there was easy. The host was so kind, and I loved the cozy feel of the house. The shower was the best, with hot water working well. The beach is close, so I felt confident walking home from it at night. Good vibes all around :)

The villa had such a peaceful, cozy feel, and the design was beautiful. I especially liked the boho-style room, with its natural textures, soft colors and relaxed artistic look. From the moment I arrived at Mlango Villa Paje, I felt welcome and comfortable. The service was warm, friendly and attentive without ever being intrusive. Special thanks to Zeineb and Fatima for going above and beyond. Their kindness, smiles and attention to detail made the stay unforgettable. If you want a quiet break with lovely design and genuine hospitality, this is a great place. I'll definitely return!

The place is really pretty, and the pool is the best, small but nice. The rooms are well decorated too. We started in the upper rooms, which had a lovely balcony, but without AC they got quite warm at night. After 4-5 nights we moved to a room with AC and missed it there. There are a few things I'd improve. The rooms have just one light source, so they get dark, and some lamps would help. Hand towels in the bathroom and a blanket in addition to the two thin sheets would be useful. We didn't get the room cleaned once during our stay. The mosquito nets are too small and hang over us at night. With two houses, it can be hard to find someone when we need help. There's a WhatsApp number for the manager, but no one answers messages, so it'd help to list a number for someone who is actually available if nobody can stay nearby. At first we were the only guests, but once others arrived we noticed how much sound carries between places. The Wi-Fi wasn't good. These are the improvements I'd want to hear about if it were my place. It's still quite nice, and I would go back.
