Pangani Cliffs Lodge

Rama was especially welcoming and checked in with us during the trip, giving directions so we could reach the lodge safely. The staff were hospitable and polite, and we felt safe there under a sky full of stars at night. Our room was clean, tidy, spacious, and well ventilated. They added two single beds for our kids. The food was very tasty with plenty of choices, and breakfast was amazing. The shore is rocky, but you can ask the lodge for reef boots. At high tide, their sandy beach is enjoyable. We had an amazing experience.

We stayed for 5 days and loved how peaceful and out of the way the lodge was. The owners and staff were all so friendly and attentive that we felt welcome right away. Meals were excellent, with several lunch choices and a different dinner each evening, so we were always curious about what would be served. You get fantastic Indian Ocean views from the cliffs, and the old coral reef forms natural pools that get very hot during the day. There isn’t a long white sand beach right by the hotel, but the nearest sandy beach is a 20 minutes walk away. You can also use the small pool at the hotel. If you want a comfortable stay away from crowds and beach solicitors, this place is a great choice.

We loved our 4 nights here and will definitely come back. The rooms are large and airy, set in a lovely garden overlooking the Ocean. There’s a secluded beach a short walk away, and most mornings we had it to ourselves. The owners, manager, and staff are all so friendly and made the lodge feel welcoming. The food was delicious. Our grandson said on the way home that he wants to live there forever, probably because of the pool and the yummy chocolate pancakes he had every morning.

The accommodation was very nice and clean, and the edge-of-the-ocean setting is beautiful. The people were friendly and helpful, and the cook deserves compliments for the delicious meals. It’s a great place to relax completely, while still having plenty you can do.
