The water is best avoided at high tide because the current can be very strong. At low tide, though, the ocean was amazing for the kids. We saw a sea urchin, live coral reef on a shipwreck, and fish. My children, aged 3 and 6, loved it, and I can imagine it’s even more interesting for snorkeling. It’s about an hour’s drive from the city centre. The hotel was clean, the food very good, and the service friendly, flexible, and attentive. All the beds had mosquito nets. We had a family room with a big bed that fit all four of us, plus a bunk bed in a connecting room. That room was open, with no door. There’s also a pool where kids around 1 m tall can stand. The beach was beautiful and much cleaner than beaches closer to the city centre, though it wasn’t completely clean. We’ll definitely go back.

A nice spot for a family break. Our kids, 9, 7, and 5, had a great time at the beach, in the pool, and snorkeling at the sunken boat. The rooms are nice and updated, and the food is great, though a little pricey. There’s also horse riding next door for $25/30 min.

The gorge-like path down to the ocean is lovely. Once you hear the waves and see the water, you know you’ve arrived. There are plenty of seats and semi-hempics that can fit up to 30 people, and I loved the fire pit where everyone can gather and share stories. The entrance feels fit for a God or Goddess, and gives you the sense that a good, stress-free time is ahead.

The walk to the beach goes through a beautiful forest, and I really enjoyed seeing the monkeys. The view is beautiful, the staff are kind and helpful, and the chef is so good. Some of the amenities need work.

Our family dog was seriously injured by the dogs on the property and needed immediate surgery for a puncture wound in its chest. The property keeps a dog and allows neighboring dogs onto the grounds. None of the dogs are friendly. They may be friendly toward people, but this place isn’t suitable for families with pets. I strongly recommend removing the pet-friendly notice.
