Tabora Belmonte Hotel

The view felt peaceful and mesmerizing, with everything around it natural. We were there in the rainy season, in November, so there were lots of flies and insects. Better bring insect repellent or something. The workers were humble and ready to help, and the food was great.

I waited two and a half hours for chicken miskhaki and still never got it. Even after I canceled, they put that same order on the bill three times. The waiters kept getting the order wrong, and they couldn't bring it on time. If you come here to eat, you may end up hungry. I'm never going back. The service was awful.

After just one night, they suddenly told us we had to switch rooms and pay extra for a more expensive one, so we left straight away. The staff were terrible and couldn't even give us directions around their own city. Our standard room was old, with furniture that seemed to be from the last century, and the window looked out onto a wall.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the garden was marvelous. The place is naturally quiet, but the loud bar music and karaoke disturbed us until midnight that night. Guests come here for peace away from town, and sometimes they miss that point. The swimming pool felt unsafe: it's very deep, and if you slip in, I'm not sure anyone would rescue you. They need protective bars in that narrow area and a lifeguard. Without the loud music, it's a nice place to stay.
