Breezes Beach Club & Spa

I stayed for 12 nights with my partner, parents-in-law, and our six-month-old. They'd been here before, but it was my first visit and our first trip with a baby. The place is beautiful, and the little touches made the stay so good. The food was great, varied, and all lovely. Best of all was the staff: everyone was welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. They even made baby food by hand for us every day. Special thanks to Dorah, Lightness, Bryson, Asmina, Lucas and Mtwana!

We've returned to this wonderful hotel many times, and it never disappoints. Everyone is warm and attentive, from housekeeping through to management, and the service is consistently exceptional. Our latest visit over Christmas and New Year was especially memorable, a perfect way to end the year. The New Year's dinner was outstanding and made an already lovely stay feel even more special. It's become our favorite place to come back to on the island. We always look forward to returning.

The managers, Agustina and Luca, checked in with us every day, and that personal care made the stay feel especially nice. Even with the hotel completely full, the service stayed excellent. We spent Christmas and New Year’s Eve there, and everything from the rooms and facilities to the food was better than we expected. We’d happily recommend it and plan to return.

The grounds were lovely, and the frontline staff were warm, helpful, and professional. We enjoyed meeting many of them, and they were the strongest part of our stay. My concerns are about leadership, especially Augustina, and the way the property’s rules and logistics were handled. My husband has had two strokes, so my sister requested a wheelchair when we arrived. Augustina said our room was “close,” but we had to pass two or three buildings to get there. We also saw guests without mobility issues placed much nearer the central areas. The room was moved only after my sister raised the issue privately. With our medical needs already explained, that shouldn’t have taken extra advocacy. There were 19 of us, but Augustina sometimes sent logistical instructions to the whole group instead of going through our designated contact. That caused repeated confusion and left guests to sort out things that should have been managed internally. Her tone when dealing with concerns came across as rude and defensive, without much empathy. I didn’t feel that escalating the matter to a supervisor or manager on site would lead to a useful resolution, so I chose to write about it here. Given how concerns were handled during our stay, I expect any reply may also be defensive. I came in with expectations shaped by Breezes properties I’ve visited elsewhere in the world. That level of guest care and leadership wasn’t reflected here. The staff were excellent, but the leadership didn’t offer the clarity, reassurance, or approachability I expect from someone in charge. With better leadership, this could have been an exceptional stay. One more thing: drinking water costs extra. We were told not to drink from the sink, so having to pay for water was disgusting.
