We’ve stayed here twice and hope to return. The pool was divine after a hot day, and the view from it was breathtaking. It’s a charming historic hotel with character, distinctive rooms, antique furniture, and great staff. We really enjoyed the breakfast too.

The staff were excellent and very service minded. The old building has its quirks, which I found charming, and the renovation has kept its original style beautifully. It’s 100m from the sea, so you miss the noise from the beach and traffic. Highly recommend it if that sounds good to you.

I stayed in langi langi, room 40, and it was beautiful. The shower has an open roof, which looked really pretty. The place is full of cats, so cat lovers will be happy. Customer service was nice and I’d give it 10/10, though the breakfast wasn’t very good. Still a good experience, and I’d recommend it.

The staff were friendly, and the hotel was well maintained. On my first visit to Tanzania, I enjoyed seeing the wildlife. I do wish there had been a ceiling fan in the room, as it would have helped cool things down.

The location is great, about a four-minute walk from Freddie mercury museum and close to plenty of shops and restaurants. We liked the pool, and the bathrooms seemed to have been renovated in a modern style. The hotel feels very authentic and primitive, and the staff were super friendly. Check-in and checkout were easy. They even brought us a free cake for my birthday, which was very sweet. Breakfast starts at 7 am, but we had to leave at 6 am, so they prepared a takeaway breakfast for us.
