My stay was horrible. I paid for a VIP room but was given an ordinary one. When I asked about it, they said they had given my room to someone else. The manager was very rude and had no ethics, and the staff’s customer service was bad too. At breakfast I asked for a glass of water, and the worker rudely told me I had to pay for it. Just a glass of water! They don’t deserve a star. I’d advise people not to waste their money here. Worst hotel ever.

Very bad experience. Housekeeping was poor, and even after many calls, no one brought water. The breakfast was bad too. I booked the room for two days. The manager first agreed, then called me the next day while I was out on a trip and said he wanted to give the room to another party. My belongings were still inside, and he charged me double, which was completely wrong. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The noise was awful, with very loud music from the nearby wedding hall carrying straight into the rooms. I couldn’t sleep until the event finished. I also had salt water, and the lift kept going out of service, so I had to use the stairs. Worst of all, bedbugs bit me through the night. When I told the hotel, they denied there were any. This was the most horrible hotel stay I’ve had. I’d give it zero stars if I could, and wouldn’t recommend it for a pleasant stay in Zanzibar.

Right in the middle of Stone Town, so it’s easy to get around to everything. The rooms are spacious and have balconies.
