I enjoyed stopping at Freddie Mercury’s house in Stone Town. The building is lovely, with arched doorways, carved wooden details, and an airy, peaceful feel. There's also a small pool in the courtyard. The museum shares his childhood and family history, his early influences, and how he went on to become famous with Queen. Freddie Mercury, born Farrokh Bulsara on September 5, 1946, spent his early years here before his family moved to India and later England. There are photos, personal belongings, and information about one of rock music's greatest voices. Even if you're only a casual fan, it's a meaningful visit. Beautiful architecture and fascinating history make this a worthwhile stop while exploring Stone Town.

Freddie Mercury's childhood home is a landmark worth stopping at during a Stone Town tour. The building and the area around it are well preserved, and reflect Zanzibar's cultural charm. Whether you're a big fan or simply curious about music history, it's worth visiting just to stand at the doorstep of where a legend's story began.

The main drawback was traffic noise, which could keep me awake for a while during the night. Otherwise, staying in the building where Freddie lived in his early years was a great experience. It's part of the Tembo hotel and a lovely place to stay, with clean, spacious rooms and a fridge in the heart of Stone Town. Breakfast and a seaside pool are across the street in the Tembo complex.

I really enjoyed this small museum. The pictures of Freddie Mercury are nicely presented and well organized, and during my stay they played some of Queen's greatest hits. I got a good look at the legend's life.

It's an affordable, enjoyable little museum, with lots of photos and memorabilia. There weren't any souvenirs available, sadly, but it's still worth a visit.
