Our room was spacious and lovely, with a nice balcony, and housekeeping did a great job. The beach loungers were comfortable, though guests were doing the usual early morning towel claim to get the best spots. The steady flow of beach boys approaching people could get tiring too. We were on a bed-and-breakfast plan. Breakfast had plenty of variety, with local dishes, fresh eggs, fruit, and more. The staff were friendly, though service sometimes felt a little disorganized. We had trouble ordering à la carte dinner because many dishes weren’t available. Luckily there are lots of good, affordable restaurants outside the resort, so it wasn’t a big issue for us. The complimentary 10-minute massage for each guest was a nice extra. Spa prices were inconsistent: we paid 70 USD rather than 100 USD for a couples massage, while another couple was offered the same treatment for 60 USD. Clearer, more consistent discount pricing would help. For a bed-and-breakfast stay, the value felt somewhat high for what was included.
We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and cozy, with a lovely view and a beautiful beach. The staff cared about how the stay was going and did their best to make it a good experience. Most of all, I loved the people there. Reception, the kitchen staff, waitresses, activity team, and the Masai on the beach were all so friendly and respectful. We enjoyed their company and would definitely come back one day!
The hotel is nice, with good service and a lovely beach. They also treated us to dinner on the beach on our last night, which was really nice. But at check-in, one staff member made a fat joke about someone in our group. That was highly inappropriate and very uncomfortable, so I can only give the hotel three stars.
The team hosting us was great, and the food and views were fantastic. It was easy to get picked up for excursions around the island. Shout out to Moussa, who rocked the karaoke with me and the other guests. Bisous!
I fell in love with the staff! The receptionists, the people making our meals, the waitresses, and the room cleaners were all amazing. The woman who gives massages was simply the best. Captain Henry took us on unforgettable sailing and SNORGGLING trips. Our trip was so wonderful. Just remember to bring a good mood and SPF 90, because it’ll be HAKUNA MATATA!!!!
