There were 11 of us, seven adults and four kids, and the order was taken quickly. The dishes started arriving in about 10-15 minutes, and everyone enjoyed the food. The bill came to roughly 325 UAH per person, including alcohol and cocktails. I’d definitely recommend the restaurant.

I’m very disappointed with how things have changed. We’d stayed here several times and had always been happy, though our last visit before this one was two years ago. The rooms were clean, but they were only cleaned if we asked. For a beachfront hotel, daily cleaning would make sense. The guards are no longer on the property, parking is paid now, and the children’s trampoline was only inflated now and then. The breakfasts were awful, with more than half the items unavailable. Getting milk oatmeal made for the children became an unresolved problem. The pancakes were rubbery and straight from the fridge, the sour cream tasted bitter, and even after staff said it was stale, it was the same the next day. At a room rate over 3,000 UAH, I’d expect vegetables and some sausage in the omelet instead of plain fried eggs. The service was just as frustrating. We shouldn’t have to feel like we’re imposing on someone in their own home. Food service staff need to respect hotel guests and take their concerns seriously. They forgot things, and I didn’t even want to ask for fruit or clean glasses to replace the dirty ones. The staff seemed hurriedly hired, had no tact, and didn’t value regular guests. I also didn’t want to pay 300 UAH for a beach tent surrounded by trash, corn cobs, cigarette butts, and wrappers. We won’t return. I feel sorry for the owners who put so much time and money into the place. The service needs to improve.

We arrived at 11 PM, and the kitchen was still open until midnight, later than other places that close around 10. Some of the menu wasn’t available that late, but they still fed us, and everything we ordered was tasty. The selection wasn’t huge. The waiters seemed a bit out of practice with the menu by evening, but that was a small thing. Service was excellent and the food came quickly. A good dinner for two costs around 500 hryvnias.

We had dinner there twice and really liked the sea view, the cozy dining room and two terraces, and the lovely dishes and presentation. The food was delicious. On our first visit in the morning there were a few small issues, but the staff sorted them out right away, showed they cared, and offered us a tasty, thoughtful treat. It’s nice that Zatoka has a place where you can eat well in such a pleasant setting.
