Arle Hotel

Really nice hotel.

The staff seem to put a lot of effort into making guests comfortable. Breakfast was tasty, and so was the à la carte lunch. Parking is a big plus, and the hotel is close to the sea. Our room was small but clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was the one real problem. It was placed so it blew straight at the bed. Outside was hot and noisy, so opening the window wasn't an option, but using the AC felt like a sure way to get sick with it blowing right at your head. Still, I recommend the hotel.

The staff were attentive, friendly and conscientious, and the small grounds were nicely kept and landscaped. The restaurant has good food and a pleasant interior, and the hotel also has parking, internet and other useful things. We booked breakfast and loved having our morning coffee outside in a comfortable chair or soft sofa, among the cared-for designer plants. The hotel is open all year and sits near beach #3. It was crowded there at the end of August, but that didn't spoil our stay. The sea is calm and clean thanks to the Berdyansk Spit. In that respect, Kirillovka and Genichesk don't compare. One memorable security guard was a white cat, or maybe cats. People with allergies probably wouldn't be thrilled with them around.

We only came to eat, not to stay at the hotel. The food and service were good, and the portions were generous. The borscht alone was filling. There's a children's menu too, with tasty food and fun presentation, like a dinosaur made from a cutlet. Prices aren't low, but it seemed a good option since the nearby area feels dodgy and the other cafés don't seem very reputable.
