Hotel Gostynniy Dvir

The only thing I liked was the wood-fired pizza at the cafe. The rest of the place was awful: dirty rooms, unpleasant smells throughout, stained walls, and a moldy shower curtain. The bed was terrible, and the furniture was old and dirty. Nothing had been cleaned before check-in, and the service was bad. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all.

The restaurant really lifted the experience. It's modern, and the food was great, all of it felt high quality. We also had internet and convenient parking behind a fence. They let us check in at 2am, which helped us out at a really important moment. The room was another story. It was old and clearly hadn't been updated in a long time. We were cold at night and needed a second blanket, the mattress was soft and uncomfortable, and the water was hot in the evening but only warm by morning. Prices run from 800-1500 UAH. I paid 1500 UAH for a two-room apartment for one, and given the room's condition, I don't think it was worth it. You can make do for a night, especially with a late arrival, but the rooms and heating need work. The food and kitchen are what saved my impression.

I really want to thank administrator Tatyana for being kind and caring. The rest of the stay was rough. The room was cold with no heating, and the air conditioner only blew cold air. Getting hot water for a bath meant turning it down. The shower felt unsafe to step into, the doors squeaked, and the internet was poor or absent altogether. The old TVs should probably just be removed. For these conditions, the rooms cost too much. The walls were shabby, and the bedding looked like it could be 5-10 years old. There were three mismatched sets, with pillowcases in one color and the bed linen in another. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The receptionist was friendly, rooms were available, and there was Wi-Fi and parking. They also provided soap and two towels. A double room with one bed, no fridge or air conditioning, cost 600 UAH; one with two beds, a fridge, and air conditioning was 700 UAH. But that's about it for the good. The hotel felt dark and had a strange smell everywhere. The ground floor stank of old dried fish, while the second floor smelled of booze, even with the hallway windows open. The towels were damp and musty, the soap reminded me of Soviet laundry soap, and I'm not sure the bedding was fresh. There was a chair by the bed that smelled awful. The TV remote didn't work because the batteries were dead. The old TV kept tipping over, and its frame was battered. If you can live with all that, this place may suit you. I won't be back. I'd rather sleep in the car.
