We spent nine days here for our honeymoon, from 23.02.-04.03.2026. We’d mentioned in our booking that we were newlyweds after getting married on 14.02., and the staff made us feel so welcome. They upgraded us for the whole stay to Suite 504, a spacious one-bedroom apartment on the fifth floor with a huge balcony wrapping around two sides. We also got fruit, champagne, and certificates for either a couples massage or a full day of ski equipment. I’m a travel agent and have been to plenty of places, but this much warmth, attention, and comfort for the price really surprised me. The place has a friendly, relaxed feel, with polite, well-trained staff in uniforms and smiles, even though they work long days. The reception girls were attentive, and the SPA desk had a particularly sunny, helpful person who explained the massage options and helped us choose. We had foot and back massages, and both were great. It was busy during our nine days, though. Sometimes there wasn’t room to leave bathrobes in the SPA, and we saw two Thai massage therapists working there. Suite 504 was modern and in good shape, with a stylish aroma diffuser, heated bathroom floors, robes, slippers, a dressing room, sink, and microwave. There wasn’t a cutting board, but we worked around that. There’s a shuttle to lift #14 and back every hour if you book it, and the hotel is right in the center. Silpo is about a 20-minute walk. When it’s icy, taking a taxi or transfer back is better because the hotel sits on a steep slope. In the cold, it can be hard to get a car. Once we paid 100 UAH for a taxi from the bottom up to the hotel. Breakfast at the panoramic Batoni restaurant was tasty, with plenty to choose from, though the selection wasn’t very varied. There were different things across the days, including red fish every other day, herring, rusks, bolognese, grilled zucchini, spinach sauce, cherry pancakes, cottage cheese, honeycomb honey, orange juice, champagne, overcooked bacon, tilapia, pumpkin porridge, cream soup, brie, pancakes, Nutella, jams, baked apples, nuts, and cottage cheese casserole. I liked that the hotel really supports a relaxing stay, with apartments that have kitchens, breakfast, SPA, ski lift transfers, and fairly priced services. We left with warm, happy memories and hope to see Fomich again in a year, for our anniversary. I’d recommend it to families and couples. We’re lucky to have the Carpathians! 100%.
