The service doesn't live up to a four-star rating, and the staff seem to lack professional training. At reception, a local blond white man was aggressive and impolite, and refused to give his name. The manager needs to pay closer attention to how staff behave. I won't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I keep choosing this breakfast buffet even when I'm staying somewhere that offers breakfast for free. I've gone at least 10 times. It's terrific and inexpensive: in early 2018 it cost 180 hrivnas, about $6.50 USD.

The food is delicious, and the restaurant is good quality, with a standard Carpathian menu. You get a nice view if you're seated by a window. Still, there's nothing especially unique about it, and you won't miss much if you skip the restaurant.

Dinner here last week was really tasty, made with care and love. Thanks to the cooks and staff.

Hotel Maramureș is worth what you pay for it. I wish the restaurant staff spoke at least some English, but we managed.
