Astoria Hotel

Breakfast was spot on, and the staff were warm, helpful, and spoke excellent English. It’s a nice hotel in a good spot, around a 20-minute walk from the train station. There’s a guarded parking area about three minutes away.

We had a very spacious apartment style room on the seventh floor, and it was spotless. The location was fantastic, breakfast was great with a slightly different selection each day, and the reception service was outstanding. Thank you 🙏

I was back at Astoria in August 2024 after staying there in 2022, and it was lovely to see the same very sweet receptionist still working there. I think her name was Olga, or something close to that. I’ve stayed at some of the best hotels around the world, and honestly, in my opinion Astoria is the best hotel experience available right now. You can tell as soon as you walk in that it’s special. Our room was on the seventh floor, with loads of space and amazing panoramic city views, as my photos and video show. The restaurant and breakfast were first class, with a big range of food laid out beautifully. Room service was excellent too. We ordered champagne and it took ten minutes to arrive, which seemed odd until we learned the woman bringing it had got stuck in the lift. She arrived apologizing, but there was no need, she was lovely. The beds feel luxurious, and you can feel the quality of the cotton sheets. I first stayed here in 2022 while heading east for some Russian international relationships lessons 😉 I’ll be back, even if it’s only to ask Olga to marry me. 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇦😀

The bar and restaurant were amazing. They also arranged a photographer for us, sent a car to pick me up at the airport, and can have a hot bubble bath ready in your room for when you get back.
