The rooms themselves were good, and the place sits in Kyiv's quiet, upscale Pechersk district, about a seven-minute walk from the main street. But it doesn't really feel like a hotel: it's a long hallway with rooms on both sides, no lobby, and no kitchen. The entrance is locked at midnight, so if you arrive late, you have to knock and wait outside until the operator wakes up to let you in.

I paid 800 UAH for one night, and the receptionist didn't even ask to see my ID. In the middle of the night she knocked on my room door, yelling that I'd smoked in the room and had to pay a 500 UAH fine. She kept shouting, so I grabbed my things and left right then. It felt like a total scam to me. If you're a foreign visitor, I'd stay away from this hotel.

The rooms were in horrible shape and felt unsafe. There was black mold in the bathroom, constant noise, slow Wi-Fi, and no 4G signal.
