Hostel Kyiv-Art

We only booked shortly beforehand, so they had 20 minutes to get our room ready, and they did it right away. The hosts were really nice and took care of us. Both the bedroom and bathrooms were very clean. The shower pressure was poor, though, and washing long hair took a while. Also, the tram was really loud, so it may not suit you if you're sensitive to noise. All in all, it was good for a short stay.

The administrators were so friendly and helpful, and kept everything clean, with a pleasant, light atmosphere. There are private rooms as well as shared sleeping space. Set in the historic heart of Kiev, this hostel felt cozy and homey, unlike any other one I've seen. I know where I'll stay next time I visit Kiev.

The owners were kind and didn’t argue when we had trouble getting organized, and I’m grateful for that. From what I understand, they take cash only. As for the stay, I wanted fresh sheets and basic comfort, but didn’t get either. You have to take your shoes off at the entrance, there’s an incense smell, and you can hear every step. My room was on a balcony, reached by going through another room. I also got bitten by a bug and hope I didn’t bring any back to my flat. This feels like a place for art students or people who like an Ayurvedic atmosphere, rather than families or adults who just want to wash and sleep after sightseeing.

There were bedbugs here, so don't go. The rooms weren't clean either, and the towels smelled rotten. It was a horrible place, with no staff visible. They didn't ask for our papers or documents, which seemed weird.
