Hotel Dnipro

I stayed at Dnipro Hotel for almost 2 weeks and loved it. The staff were incredibly kind and hospitable, and went out of their way to make me comfortable. There’s security in the lobby all night, and my window had an amazing view. It’s in a great spot, central to maidan and shops, but facing the river, so it’s more peaceful than some other locations. There’s a beautiful park right next door too, giving you the city restaurants and shops along with nature nearby. Dnipro Hotel also recognizes and honors Military, the only hotel in the area that did so. It’s historic, with old style architecture and classic furniture. I believe it was built during Soviet times, and it’s one of the gems of that era. Thanks, Dnipro Hotel ❤️

The staff were accommodating, and I could communicate with them well in English. They cleaned the room every day with great professionalism, and breakfast and service were very good. I was there on business, sometimes leaving money, phones and equipment around, and the hotel staff were ALWAYS trustworthy. As an American who doesn’t speak Ukrainian, I was treated very well. I booked for 9 days. On the first day I switched from a small room to a suite because the first room was too small. The suite was very large and had a beautiful view. Its Soviet Era Victorian design made for a very pleasant atmosphere.

The location is wonderful, but I wish I’d never booked this place. The beds are so low that your body touches the floor when you try to sleep, and they’ll give you back issues. The TV is from 1997 and won’t turn on. There’s no electricity unless the room key is inserted, and just one outlet for the whole room in a really awkward spot. When I ran out of toilet paper, staff questioned whether I really needed more or was trying to hoard it. This hotel doesn’t meet modern standards at all. I’m a real person telling a stranger not to stay here. Everything about it was negative for me. There are plenty of other hotels on the same street, so pay a bit more and be comfortable. Please beware.

Some of the staff were warm and positive, especially the concierge, security and restaurant hostess. Their smiles helped balance out the hotel’s poor hardware, and it felt considerably safe. Without those people, I would have given the property 2 stars, one for the location and one for security. The room was terrible in every way and needed maintenance and a face-lift, including the bathroom. It’s never a 4-star place. The interior designer needs to go back to school for putting big furniture and warm colors in tiny spaces. The breakfast buffet was the same each day, with limited choices, and the taste wasn’t the best.
