InterContinental Kyiv

The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, and the hotel itself is fantastic. Our keys didn’t work at all, so the issue had to be fixed in our room while we were out, which we’d been warned about. The staff made it up to us with a plate of food and some wine.

The rooftop bar b-hush has a spectacular view, and the drinks, cocktails, and food are all very good. Breakfast was so fabulous, the staff were super kind, and the service and food were excellent. They leave nothing to be desired.

My partner and I stayed for two nights. I liked the decor, the comfortable double bed, and having my own bathtub. There were a few things that made the stay harder, though. At check-in, two receptionists were there, but only one was working while the other played games on his phone in front of guests. The staff weren’t fluent in English, which made it difficult to explain something important I needed. The woman there almost laughed while I was trying to explain, and that made me very uncomfortable when I was already stressed. There was also a mix-up, and my partner and I nearly had to pay extra for my breakfast even though we’d paid for breakfast for two. At checkout there were again two receptionists, but only one was handling guests, so it took a little longer. I enjoyed my stay overall, but they should improve these things.

The hotel had a pleasant atmosphere, the staff were great, and the food was superb. My only issue was in room 538, where the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly. I think the hinge that shuts it wasn’t working. Other than that, everything was good.
