Coffee Home Hostel

I checked the entrance before booking and couldn't get anyone to answer the door. The location also felt really sketchy, and the place looked like a dump. Recent reviews aren't good, and the positive ones seem to be years old. I'd keep looking.

I stayed here for a month and would return if I'm in Lviv again. The price is very reasonable for the area, and it's right downtown near restaurants, coffee shops, shops and more. There's a wide choice of rooms, from 6, 8 and 10-bed dorms to single and double rooms. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. There are washers and dryers on site, plus Wi-Fi, a kitchen, showers and balcony seating. Check-in is on the third floor, with the hostel on the third and fourth floors. There isn't an elevator, just stairs, and no A/C, though you can open the windows for fresh air. Being downtown brings some noise, including from the active church nearby, where there are a lot of funerals. See the attached picture to save 10%.

A decent place for a quiet night in the city centre, since it's not a party hostel. The beds are pretty nice and cleanliness is average. Staff don't seem especially interested in you, but if you ask for help they're kind and helpful. The old floor is incredibly noisy, and you hear everyone's footsteps. The staircase up to the hostel is a disaster too, though that's not really the hostel's responsibility. Overall, it's genuinely alright.

What stood out most was the staff. All the reception women I met, Uliana, Marta, Lilia Zoriana and Sofia, were smiling, helpful, and committed to great service. It was lovely having tea at 3 o'clock. Thank you all! I stayed quite a few days. The location is very good, though it can be a bit noisy at night. I also had to ask for some hot plates.
