We had to find another apartment that same day because the kitchen conditions were horrifying and unsanitary. Nothing here met our expectations. Everything felt neglected and unpleasant, and calling it a hotel is difficult, it looked more like a barn. The rooms were a letdown too: old, uncared-for furniture, gray bedding that should have been white, and a strong smell of smoked wood that made it impossible to stay inside. The views were ordinary, nothing like the attractive way they’re advertised. Getting in is a disaster, especially after rain, when the terrible road makes it hard to reach on foot or by car. I wouldn’t recommend spending your time or money here.

The evening view is the real highlight. From the little balcony you can sit with Carpathian tea or morning coffee and look out over Skhidnytsia and the mountains. At sunset and in the twilight the landscape is especially lovely, and the pool lighting adds a little show. The pool itself is clean and well kept, and swimming is included in the accommodation price. The food is tasty and home-style, with a flexible menu. The staff are the best part, friendly and welcoming. We’re especially grateful to administrator Bohdan for his hospitality and professionalism. The hotel is neat and atmospheric, and fits naturally into the area. There’s no fridge or kettle in the room, everything is in the kitchen on the 1st floor. It’s not very convenient carrying a mug upstairs, especially since the wooden house can be a bit noisy at night. The access road isn’t great, though any car can get through. A sign where you turn off the main road would help, as the navigator is a bit erratic.

We could walk the nearby forest paths, and our favorite springs, 2c and 25.26c, are close by. The owner was welcoming and thoughtful, even arranging a ramp so we could drive up without any trouble. The place sits in a beautiful wooded spot. Step onto the balcony and it feels like you’re already in the forest. Our room was warm, clean and cozy, in this wooden eco-hotel. The chef is wonderful, there’s lots to choose from and everything we ate was delicious. The dining area is beautiful and cozy too.

We’ve come back for a second stay, and I don’t think it’ll be our last. I’d love to return for another swim, the pool lighting is something you don’t see everywhere. The view over Skhidnytsia is gorgeous, and Bohdan was the best administrator we met. The staff are attentive and friendly, the rooms are clean and well kept. Really liked everything, we recommend it!
