Frantsiya Hotel

The breakfast buffet was genuinely good, though the only coffee was instant, and the toiletries were nice. The rest made the price hard to justify for a place calling itself five-star. There’s no reserved or guaranteed guest parking, so we had to use the paid lot at the nearby shopping center. Pool access for guests is limited to awkward hours because it’s rented out at the most convenient times, perhaps to people using the parking lot. Our room had no blackout curtains, so the sun woke us, and the bathroom had no shelves or hooks. You end up holding things or putting them on the floor.

Breakfast offered a wide choice, with some dishes changing from day to day. The room toiletries were high quality and smelled lovely, and the little Christmas tree in the room was a nice seasonal detail. The room itself was comfortable and elegant, and the staff were kind and very helpful. Beautiful, luxurious hotel. Highly recommended.

The room was spacious, clean, and had a good bed, in a beautiful hotel right in the town center. Still, I’d avoid a room facing the front: passing trams made it shake quite badly, regularly, starting very early in the morning, though not at night. Better curtains would help block the light. With the brightness and tram noise together, I was waking up far too early.

I booked a balcony suite, and it was warm, clean, comfortable, and roomy, with all the details I needed. A really nice suite and a very pleasant stay. I’d recommend it, but the website showed a price lower than what I actually paid. The difference wasn’t huge, but it put me off. It feels like a proper four-star hotel.
