You’ll find a quiet garden beside the botanical garden, with plenty of birds and monkeys that come by regularly. It’s a good spot if you want peace and a garden for the kids, but not if you’re after a party place with a bar and lots of people. The Egg botanical garden feels more like a homestay with a friendly family than a proper hotel. It may not have European 4-star sophistication, but it has what you need, and the family’s friendliness and hospitality make up for what’s missing. There’s also a mall about a 5 min walk away, with international restaurants and a carrefour.

A cozy spot near Entebbe airport, with a friendly team and breakfast overlooking a nice view. I’d recommend it as an authentic first stop after arriving at the airport.

Henry, the hotel manager, was accommodating and let me store my luggage after check out since I had a late evening flight. Breakfast is included, and vervet monkeys visit the property. It’s a convenient base for Entebbe, close to the airport and sights like the botanical garden right next to the hotel.

We booked the same room type twice, only to learn that just one room of that type was available. The place is still a construction site, and the owner lives there too.
