Dich Comfort

The cooling was fine, but the catering was very poor. I went to sleep hungry and there was no breakfast because they had neither power nor gas. Poor management. No spare gas cylinder? They should know the circumstances in their area and be ready for them. Customers should be made comfortable. If I leave town and go this far, it should feel worth it.

The place felt fancy and comfortable, with little or no noise or air pollution. Wi-Fi worked, and the workers were kind and humble. I loved every bit of it.

For under $20, you get very clean rooms, comfy bedding, working Wi-Fi, warm water, and AC that actually works. It stayed connected through a stormy load-shedding night. The setting is quiet and close to the city centre, and the staff were friendly and helpful, even when we checked in during the storm.

This was the worst experience I've had after a year in East Africa. We had no electricity, internet, or hot water, and no proper solution or offer of one. I asked for seven hours how we were supposed to manage without internet and electricity. The director is especially to blame, and seemed to do nothing to solve it. The manager and receptionist tried their best, but in vain. Worse, the director made staff pay out of pocket for transport between the two locations while they tried to fix the problem. Whether you stay at this premium hotel or its university branch farther away, I’d avoid it. There was no ethics, responsibility, or service. It’s overpriced and not really in the city, and little effort seems to go into making a stay here a good experience. The director is killing the business by being an old, greedy man who wouldn’t provide a solution.
