Adrift River Club

The experience was awful. Getting a response is a struggle, even after reaching out by email, WhatsApp, phone, and Instagram. Replies can take days or even weeks. They let you book, then cancel the trip if they don’t have enough people. After that, you get blamed and don’t get your money back. I’d absolutely recommend rafting, but not with Adrift if you want to avoid being scammed.

The river view rooms at the river club really delivered on the views, and the staff were ready to help with anything, big or small. Rachel at reception was lovely, as were Agnes, Mark, and Alice at the bar. We were picked up on time in Kampala and taken to their sister overland camp for breakfast before rafting. The rafting was so much fun. Micheal, David, and the rest of the team were professional, fun, and clearly experienced. I’d highly recommend the activity.

I booked rafting through Adrift, and the website explained the package clearly. It also cost less than the competitors. I’ve rafted in different parts of the world, and this was the most professional setup I’ve experienced, with four support kayaks, an extra safety raft, and a photographer along for the trip. Mike was a great guide. We finished with a shower, pizza, and drinks at the Adrift camp, which also looked like a great place to stay. Highly recommend!

It was a very nice place to stay, but breakfast arrived 20 minutes late. We were tired and hungry and just wanted something to eat.
