The rooms feel stuck in the 1980s, the AC doesn’t work, the bed linen is worn out, and the bathrooms are the worst I’ve seen in a hotel. They don’t provide water, and there’s no WiFi in the rooms. I also had trouble confirming my booking even though I’d paid before arrival. With its strategic location and wonderful view, it’s a shame the place has been run down so badly. Its glory days are over.

The rooms are fairly OK, the food is OK, and the price is budget friendly. Best of all, the view facing the Lake Victoria waters is splendid, quite breathtaking.
